MilanoSweek: five days to reflect and seek new paths with the Milanese, or with those who live and contribute to the growth of the city and of the realities that interpret it best. The S of Milan is at the center of the debate: the Smart City, the Share Economy, the Sustainability, the Start-ups, the Company, and the Style of the city.
All this and much more will be discussed at “MilanoSweek Smart-share-start city” from today to Friday at the Fabbrica del Vapore in via Procaccini 4. Debates, meetings, exhibitions, and aperitifs are planned, focusing on the themes that are currently making Milan the smart city par excellence. The events, all open for free to the public, are promoted with the patronage of the Municipality and the support of the Cariplo Foundation.
Milan is the country’s first StartUp-Town. A sixth of the innovative startups was born in Milan. Among the most innovative sectors, we find software production and IT consultancy which affects half of the StartUp developed. Despite the steps forward, our country, Milan, and its metropolitan city still have to make a great effort, if compared to international experiences. Many challenges are still to be overcome to align us at the highest levels of the international community.
A country that we can consider an example for its ability to be a great incubator and bridge to new markets is certainly Estonia, a true model of Advanced Digital Society.
The councilors Pierfrancesco Maran, Marco Granelli and Roberta Guaineri, the CEO of the company Arexpo Igor De Biasio, the president of the M4 company Fabio Terragni, those of Milanosport Chiara Bisconti, of Afol Metropolitana will alternate on stage from tomorrow to Friday. Maurizio Del Conte and the general secretary of the Bassetti Foundation, Francesco Samoré. And again: the president of the Catella Foundation, Alida Forte Catella, Gabriella Gemo of the Community Foundation Milan and of public and private companies and the president of the Stelline PierCarla Delpiano Foundation.
